FLASHBACK

EBM INTERNATIONAL currently works with 30 Baptist member unions and partners on four continents. Founded in 1954, the European Baptist Mission (EBM) initially worked exclusively in Africa. In 1979 MASA (“Missionary Actions in South America”), founded by the German pastor Horst Borkowski in 1969, became part of the EBM. At the beginning of 2009 another area of work was added with the “Hans-Herter-INDIENHILFE” (Hans Herter India Aid), which had at the time been in existence for 50 years. This led to the new name, EBM INTERNATIONAL. Since July 2011, EBM INTERNATIONAL has also included work in Turkey, with the missionaries Ertan and Marlene Cevik. The Alliance of Baptist Churches in Turkey has arisen from this work.
