Poverty is the main reason for blindsight and disability. The factors responsible for that are natural disasters, malnutrition, lack of clean water, bad hygienic conditions, and a lack of medical care. We are helping our Indian partners so they can offer free medical treatment.
In the training center of our partner “Bridge of Hope” (BoH) in Gotlam which is a small city in the state of Andhra young people from poor families have the chance to get training in the fields of sewing, IT, and electrical engineering.
EBM INTERNATIONAL supports a daycare for 30 children, three preschools for about 60 children, an English Medium School for 100 children and a computer school for 15 young people. In two training centers a total of 135 young people have the chance to get training in different fields.
Every day hundreds of children die due to malnutrition and diarrhea in India. The poorest of the poor are the Adivasi. In over 15 villages in the Nellore district where the Adivasi live the milk and egg program of our partner ALMA helps these people. ALMA is a Baptist convention of over 400 local churches.
“A home for children” is not a given for those that are from poor families that live below the poverty line and at the margin of society. Our 14 children’s homes in India offer children from different problematic environments a real home with joy and without sorrows.
The children’s home “Compassion” was founded by our partner organization “Compassion Manipur” in 2006. It is an answer to prayer to the horrible suffering and the misery of the children in Manipur that is caused by ethnic violence, armed conflicts, and HIV and AIDS.
