When you meet Adrián Campero, he leaves a lasting impression. For more than 30 years, he has been the leading missionary of EBM INTERNATIONAL among the Quechua in the Andes of Peru. A work would not have been able without the deep faith of Adrián. Numerous people have become Christians throughout this time and God’s love has changed their lives completely. This work has an extensive impact: we are fighting against poverty, people are being freed from alcohol, and their health is improving. By now, there is a network of 60 churches and another 50 will be added in the next few years. Adrián is directing a team of many honorary staff members. EBM INTERNATIONAL is also supporting the work of the couples Puñal, Mondoñedo, and Franco in Peru.
In the villages of the former Inca Empire, they are still speaking Quechua today. In order to reach these people in their culture and language better there has been a Quechua Bible seminary since 2017. Here, more than 100 men and women are being strengthened for their ministry and equipped with important competences. The teaching material is matching the way of life of the Quechua.
Beside theological competences, the training conveys very practical abilities like growing different grain types. It is an important aspect in the Andes where the crop is threatened by hard weather conditions.
EBM INTERNATIONAL supports more than 50 different projects and staff in the area of competence promotion. More than half a million Euros in donations is needed for this.
Other examples are the trainings of Regina Claas in southern Africa and the work of Katrin Schwarz at the Balaka farm in Malawi. Both missionaries help people to take their lives into their own hands actively so they can be strengthened in their calling. More than 800 women took part in the conference in Zambia that was initiated by Regina. This year 70 women in India were able to graduate from their tailor training with our partner CREAM. The testimonies of change that the project leader Samuel Sagar keeps sharing are very impressive. Overall EBM INTERNATIONAL supports 14 sewing schools in the country.
